Fueled by PhotoShelter
A former newspaper photojournalist, I am now freelancing and shooting weddings. By keeping a foot in the journalism world I quickly found that my editorial site wouldn’t cut it for brides and their mothers. Soon, I found myself with two websites, a blog and a PhotoShelter archive. Navigation was a nightmare.
I have now seamlessly integrated both portfolio sites, my blog and archive using PhotoShelter and WordPress. I use the gallery collections feature extensively for my wedding clients, which allows me to separate their images into more manageable galleries. I am then able to embed the galleries into my blog for the clients’ sneak peek. Being able to upload these galleries directly to facebook has been a big hit with my social media savvy clients. Even my portfolio galleries are PhotoShelter embedded galleries.

I’ve been a member of PhotoShelter for probably five years and I am continuously impressed at the improvements they make and information that they provide. I have attended numerous webinars that I have found incredibly beneficial and I have learned pretty much everything I know about SEO and analytics from PhotoShelter. Having features like Fotoquote, webinars and free reports on social media and SEO encourages me to use Photoshelter multiple times a week.

As a wedding photographer I love how easy PhotoShelter makes it for my clients to view their images and purchase prints or downloads. With the addition of multiple print partners and coupon capability I’m excited to see where PhotoShelter takes my business.
But the thing I like best about PhotoShelter? You can use all of its functions and not even notice it’s there. I don’t have one website to show my portfolio and another for my clients to order images. I have one website for everything. With some coding knowledge and a bit of patience, I customized PhotoShelter’s look and feel until it seamlessly matched the rest of my site.
So, even though it’s not obvious to visitors, I still have all the wonderful functionality, searchability and security features that PhotoShelter provides and continues to improve. They help me serve you better.
